Ústí nad Labem Region - Zoo
Ústí nad Labem ZOO was founded in 1908 by Heinrich Lumpe, and major Ústí businessman at the time. It was originally set up to cater for Lumpe's love of ornithology and as a result became a 6 hectare bird park called Lumpepark.
Today, the zoo is enclosed in 26 hectares of land and houses a wide variety of animals, from elephants to orangutans and from insects to lizards and snakes.
