Local Places - Teplice (30 minutes)

Teplice is approximately 30 minutes from Castle View and is the second largest spa town in the Czech Republic. As well as being a large tourist town in Czech Republic, one of the local hypermarkets is also located here.


To the North East of Teplice is a 2km chair lift leading down Komáří vížka. This is the longest lift in the Czech Republic. At the peak, there is a restaurant with stunning views over Teplice and the surrounding countryside. In summer there are usually good conditions for hiking, horseriding, biking and paragliding and in winter it is ideal for skiing.


We thoroughly recommend Teplice museum, which is located in Teplice Castle. Founded in 1897, it now contains almost two million items catagorised under five sections. More information on the museum can be found on the museum website.
